This video shows the history of the indigenous movement in “Cauca” (Colombia), in the last twenty five years: dates, places, people,... Motivations, that brought the indigenous communities to organize themselves; their difficulties, achievements and possibilities for the future are presented.
Old documents (picture and films) and interviews of different community leaders are included. We present also the main services of The Cauca Regional Indigenous Council: schools, food cooperatives, training programs, etc., trying to explain today’s indigenous reality with its past.
