The small kitchen-gardens surrounding the houses of the indigenous Nasa people play a very important role in their culture and not only in their daily source of food.
Each product has to be sown in a special place. Different rituals are assigned for each one of the agricultural jobs. Ghosts and strange animals are living in the fields. Many myths, legends and popular believes are related with the agricultural products and domestic animals.
